1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TwinTrace ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

TwinTrace is a Windows desktop application that scans user-selected folders for duplicate files and provides tools to review and remove them. The app operates entirely on your local device.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use TwinTrace for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these terms.

• Free Version: Provides basic duplicate scanning of a single folder without subfolders.
• Pro Version: Unlocks advanced features including subfolder scanning, file type filters, and additional scan options. Available via Microsoft Store purchase or license key.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The files you choose to delete using the app
• Maintaining backups of important data
• Ensuring you have the right to modify or delete files on your system
• Keeping your license key confidential and not sharing it with unauthorized users

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

TwinTrace is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• All duplicate files will be correctly identified
• File deletion will always be reversible

While the app defaults to Recycle Bin deletion (reversible), permanent deletion is available and irreversible. Use this feature at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Master's Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the app.

7. Purchases and Refunds

• Pro purchases made through the Microsoft Store are subject to Microsoft's refund policy.
• License keys provided for promotional or review purposes may be revoked at our discretion.
• Pro licenses are tied to your Microsoft account and can be used across multiple devices.

8. Intellectual Property

TwinTrace, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of Master's Inc. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based on the app.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Pro features if you violate these terms, including but not limited to sharing license keys or attempting to circumvent licensing mechanisms.

10. Updates

We may release updates to the app that modify features, fix bugs, or change functionality. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
